Andrew Abel Barker, 54, passed away on March 13, 2026 peacefully at his home in Lawrence.
Andrew was born on February 13, 1972 and grew up in Merrimac MA. Andy was a beautiful soul and the funniest person you ever met! An amazing cook who took his food seriously whether it be secret family recipes or cuisines from around the world. He was a photographer and drummer who possessed an artist’s heart. Andy was his own person, kind hearted and gentle with the strength to live life a little differently. To the delight of his loved ones he was blessed with gift giving abilities that rivaled Santa!
He will be particularly missed by the young people in his life who were his greatest joy. His nephews Jasper, Silas, and Abel Smith, his niece Eliza Smith, and his godsons Kieran and Callum Scott. Andrew is also survived by his partner in life and love of 38 years Jocelyn Rafferty of Lawrence, his mother Joanne (Donaghue) Barker of Haverhill and numerous whole, half, adopted, foster, and step siblings.
Instead of the traditional flowers and donations, do what Andy would do. Find your favorite kid and take them out for a fun day.
