Annie Helena Cantori, 100, of Haverhill, died Wednesday, July 4, at the Penacook Place in Haverhill.Born in Kingston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late, Raphael and Lydia (Govoni) Cantori. Relocating to Haverhill as a young lady, she attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a Graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1930. She continued her education at the Fashion Design School in Boston. Miss Cantori was employed as a seamstress at the Samuel Roberts Co. She owned and operated Ann’s Dress Shop located on Broadway in Haverhill and continued her work from her home well after the age of ninety.She leaves her close friends and caregivers, Judith and Richard Wengel, of Plaistow, NH, and a niece, Joan Cantori, and family of Baltimore, MD. She was predeceased by her siblings, Louis Cantori, Theresa Cantori, Rose Ferriani, and nephew, Louis Cantori.As Miss Cantori wished, funeral services were private. Arrangements were under the direction of the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Memorial contributions may be made to the Penacook Place Resident Activity Fund, 150 Water St. Haverhill, MA 01830.
