Antoinette Blaisdell

Haverhill – Antoinette L. (Britton) Blaisdell, 81, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Country Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Newburyport after a lengthy illness.Born in Haverhill, one of fourteen children, she was the daughter of the late, George M. Britton Sr. and Elizabeth (Legacy). Raised and educated in Haverhill, she was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1950.Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Blaisdell was employed in the local shoe industry as a stitcher and later worked alongside her daughter at U Wash It laundry on White St. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she was the widow of George G. Blaisdell who died in 1994. She leaves her beloved family, including four daughters, Elizabeth Perez, Donna Rivera and her husband, Angel, Darlene Maisonet and her husband Efrain, and Anna Serpa and her husband, Agustin, all of Haverhill, three sons, Russell Blaisdell, and Michael Blaisdell, also of Haverhill, and Ramiro Blaisdell, of Lawrence, two brothers, James Britton, of Bradford, Russell Britton, of Plaistow, NH, and a sister, Sylvia Muldowny, of Haverhill. She also leaves twenty grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, George “Butch” Race.Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Monday, May 12, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Groveland.
