Beth Ann Carey, 62, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 6, 2014 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston after a lengthy illness.Born in Phoenix, AZ, June 8, 1951, she was the daughter of the late, Norman C. and Jeannette M. (Griffin) Carey. Raised in the Boston area, she was a graduate of Fontbonne Academy, class of 1969 and later attended Lowell State.Ms. Carey had an eclectic working career she had an entrepreneurial spirit that could have her change her type of employ at a moments notice. She owned a cleaning business, a day care, and a collections agency, just to name a few.She enjoyed her tea time, she watched soap operas, and love camping, traveling, and all types of music. Most of all she loved her friends and family close to her, with a welcoming home, she had an open door policy, she had a mothers instinct that made people feel comfortable being around her.She leaves her beloved partner of forty-six years, Kathleen M. Harber, loving children, a son, Benjamin C. Carey, his partner, Stephanie Zilonis, and their children, Joshua C, Carey, and Kassidy Zilonis, a daughter, Joanna R. Carey, all of Haverhill, a sister, Norma R. Manning and her husband, William, of Braintree, sister in law, Donna Cunningham, of Quincy, nieces and nephews, Gary Cunningham, Dianne Cunningham, Donna Conroy, Ann Thomson, Melissa Thomson, Elizabeth Manning, and William Manning. She was predeceased by her brother, Arthur C. Cunningham. Friends and family are respectfully invited to a Memorial Service for her on Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 PM in the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. A period of visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM prior to the service.
