Calvin Frank Adams, 53, of Haverhill died Sunday July 15th as the result of a tragic swimming accident.Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Donald F. and Alice L. (Towne) Adams. Educated in Haverhill he attended Haverhill public schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School class of 1977.An independent house painting contractor by trade, during his career Calvin was employed by various contractors throughout the Merrimac Valley. A gifted guitarist at heart, Calvin had always aspired to perform in a band and thoroughly enjoyed a “jam session” with fellow musicians.He leaves two daughters Tara Dion and her significant other Christopher Blanchette of Haverhill and her mother with whom he lived Lisa ( D’Orazio) Dion of Haverhill and her son Brandon P. Dion. Three sisters Donna L. High and her husband Jamie, and Leona L. Adams both of Haverhill and Kathleen F. Abraham and her husband Norbert of Salem NH. A granddaughter, Brooke P. Blanchette. He also leaves his daughter Cali T. Morrissey of Il, her mother and former wife, Deborah C. (Wilner) Adams and her sons Matthew and Sean Duffy, and close friend David A. Dever all of Haverhill. Along with many nieces and nephews all of whom will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his brothers Cole F. Adams, Scott Spencer, and his sister Billie Jo Adams.Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Thursday July 17, 2012 from 5 until 7pm at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will immediately follow the period of visitation at 7pm in the funeral home. Burial is private.
