Carlos Torres

Carlos Ruiz Torres, 69, of Haverhill, died Sunday March 17, at the Lawrence General Hospital after being stricken ill suddenly at home.Born and educated in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, he relocated to this area in 1986, and has lived in Haverhill since 1993.Mr. Ruiz Torres was employed as a removal technician with asbestos abatement companies throughout New England. An avid baseball fan, his favorite team was the New York Mets.He leaves his beloved wife of forty six years, Ines (Santiago) Ruiz, of Haverhill, three sons, Carlos Ruiz Jr. and his wife Lisa, of Dracut, Antolyn Ruiz, of Haverhill, and Jose Ruiz, of Austell, GA, six daughters, Ines Ruiz, of Haverhill, Diana Ruiz, of Lawrence, Nancy Ruiz, of Haverhill, Virgen Torres, of Boston, Aracelis Ruiz, of Lawrence, and Elizabeth Ruiz, of Haverhill, several grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Ana Ruiz.Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday evening at 7 PM in the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Calling hours will precede the service from 4 until 7 PM.
