Haverhill – Carmen Hernandez, 66, of Haverhill passed away on Wednesday, August 2 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington surrounded by her loving family.Born and educated in the Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of Ignacio and Maria (Baez) Hernandez. Carmen lived in New York for many years and relocated to Haverhill four years ago to be near her family. A woman of strong faith, she was devoted to her church and family. She enjoyed playing BINGO and spending time with her family she was especially close to all of her nieces and nephews.She is survived by her mother Maria A. Hernandez, of Haverhill, her siblings Manuel Olivo, of Haverhill, Francisco Baez, of Georgia, Pedro Baez, of the Dominican Republic, Julio Baez, of Haverhill, Edgar Baez, of Haverhill, Anna Olivo, of Haverhill, Graciela Hernandez, and Anna Baez-Rosario, of the Dominican Republic and several loving nieces and nephews.Friends and family are respectfully invited to calling hours on Monday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, Winter St. Haverhill.
