Catherine Wildes

Hudson, NH – Catherine (Billis) Wildes, passed away November 9, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua, NH with her loving family by her side.Born in Groveland, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Helen (Consoulou) Billis. Raised and educated in Groveland, she was a graduate of Groveland High School, Class of 1945. Catherine had a beautiful singing voice and she sang in the Operetta at Groveland High School. She also enjoyed singing Karaoke, which she did often. Catherine was employed for many years as a Layout Operator at the former Western Electric. Known for her baking and Greek cooking, she was the matriarch of her family and they enjoyed spending Greek Easters and all the holidays with her. Catherine always remembered her trip with her daughter Pamela to Walt Disney World and Epcot in Florida, which she considered one of the highlights of her life. She loved to go to Salisbury Beach, where many family gatherings took place. A devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be remembered as the glue that held her family together. Catherine was lovingly cared for by her daughter Pamela, with whom she lived with for over ten years. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.Catherine is survived by her beloved daughters, Pamela Burleigh and her fiancé` Renee Raymond of Hudson, NH Joan Jacobsen and her fiancé` Jack Palmer of Durham, NH Cheryl Szulewski and her husband Jon of Cambridge her cherished grandchildren, Richard Huntress and his fiancé` Linette Davidson, John Huntress and his wife Tammy and Jarret LaMark six adored great grandchildren, Jesse, Seth, Colton, Samantha, Emily and John Huntress. She was predeceased by her sister, Bessie Boudreau, brother, Constantine Billis and her great-great grandson, Harley Austin Huntress.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, November 14 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 10:00AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Main Street, Groveland.
