Daniel Patrick Fitzgerald, 47, of Sharon, MA, formerly of Haverhill and Methuen, died Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the Norwood Hospital after being stricken ill suddenly at home.Born in Methuen, he was the son of Richard J. Fitzgerald and the late, Cynthia (Moynihan) Lyons. Educated in Haverhill, he attended public school and was a Graduate of Whittier Vocational High School, Class of 1983. He then furthered his schooling at the Bay State School of Appliances. Relocating to Sharon, MA twenty years ago, Mr. Fitzgerald was employed as a private personal care assistant in the health care field.He leaves his companion of two years, Kathryn Manning, of Sharon, a sister, Tracy J. Fitzgerald and her partner, Christopher Blake, of Haverhill, a brother, Keith P. Lyons, of Somerville, his father, Richard J. Fitzgerald, of Florida, and step father, Sean Lyons, of Winchester.A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 14, at 1:00 PM in Elmwood Cemetery, 130 North Lowell St. Methuen. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill.
