Debra Lynne Smith, 49, of Haverhill, died Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill after a courageous battle with cancer.Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late, Alfred A. and Dorothy F. (Cadorette) Smith. She attended Haverhill public schools and Haverhill High School.Ms. Smith was employed as a secretary at a local law firm and later at Temple Emanu-El in Haverhill. She enjoyed attending the local fairs, and had a special place in her heart for all animals.She leaves her companion of seventeen years, John E. Zipco, of Haverhill, two sons, Joshua, and Jason Coito, also of Haverhill, a twin brother, Neal A. Smith, aunts, Evelyn Slavit, and Elizabeth Villers, and an uncle, William Smith, and several cousins.Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service on Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM in the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Calling hours will precede the service from 5 until 7:00 PM.
