Haverhill – Donald M. Seavey, 90, husband of the late Jennie (Collins) Seavey and the late Brenda (Morin) Seavey, passed away February 12, 2017 at Wingate Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family.Born and raised in Haverhill, he was the son of the late George E. and Martha A. (Hunt) Seavey. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1946. Donald was employed in the shoe industry at Ornstein Shoe Company and was a Crossing Guard for thirty years at the Greenleaf School for the City of Haverhill. He was known for his humor and joke telling. He was a homebody and cherished the time spend with his family. Donald is survived by his children, Doris M. Lamirande of Haverhill Judy A. Safran of Haverhill Jerry M. Seavey and his wife Tina of Salem, NH Tammy A. Brown and her husband Eric of Alton Bay, NH and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Donald M. Seavey, Jr. At the request of the family, services were private. Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
