Ernestine M. “Tina” (Woodbury) Ferguson

Haverhill – Ernestine M. “Tina” Ferguson, 86, wife of the late Richard Ferguson, passed away October 20, 2021 at Hannah Duston Healthcare in Haverhill.

Born in West Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Frank L. and Ellen (Thompson) Woodbury. She was raised in Haverhill, attended Haverhill Public schools and attended Haverhill High School. Tina married the love of her life and childhood friend in 1952, they had known each other since they were eight years old and lived in the same neighborhood. With her husband Richard, who was also known as “Fergie the Barber” they did a lot of traveling. They enjoyed many cruises in the Caribbean, traveled all over the United States, and spent time in Italy and Scotland. Tina enjoyed walking around Haverhill Stadium with her friends. She had a very strong faith and spent time at St. Basil’s in Methuen with the Cursillo Movement. Tina would often be found singing her favorite hymns while cooking for her family and helping out at her daughters homes. She worked for many years in the City of Haverhill Billing Department at the former Hale Hospital until her retirement. Tina was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be remembered for the love and legacy she has left for her family.

Tina is survived by her children, Margaret “Peggy” Zebrowski and her husband Jerry of Cooper City, FL; Sandra Bonin and her husband Gerry of Ossipee, NH; Richard Ferguson, Jr. of Haverhill; Janet Ferguson of Newburg, NY; Ralph Ferguson and his wife Celeste of Haverhill; grandchildren, Sheareh Johnson, Patricia Raska, Nicholas Zebrowski, Tina May Desmarais, Garrison Cossu, Jennifer Ferguson, Rene`Marie Bonin, Marilyn Casazza, Lisa Pigeon, Sarah Ferguson, Tricia Ferguson, Arthur Dobrinyine, Drew Everett, Troy Bouchicas, Ricky Ferguson, Rylee Ferguson, A.J. Depietro and Olivia Depietro; 22 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Desmarais and Sue Ferguson Sturk, granddaughter Rachel Ferguson and siblings, George, Alec, Frank, Charles, James and Ralph Woodbury and Gladys McDaniel and Lilla Perreault.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, October 24 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 9:30AM on Monday with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30AM in St. James Church, Winter Street, Haverhill.     We just want to tell you that we are thinking of you all at this sad time. As you all know your mom/wife was a terrific person. She really did love her family and they meant the world to her.
