Esther I. (Comeau) Tannian, 77, of Haverhill, formerly of Raymond, NH, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of Edward A. and Marie L. (Blinn) Comeau. She attended Haverhill schools and was a Graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1954.Mrs. Tannian had a long and varied career. While raising a family, she was first employed as an assembler for Western Electric, she then worked at Northern Essex Community College, she then became a home health aid for Home Health V.N.A. and retired from the Ben Franklin Store in Raymond, NH as a sales clerk.Esther was a caring, loving and accepting of all she met, even strangers became quick friends. This acceptance was felt most by her family and she had a unique loving relationship with all of her family. One of Esther’s greatest assets was her sense of humor. She made other people laugh and could easily laugh at herself.Esther loved to go to Foxwoods and Atlantic City and was extraordinarily lucky there. She also loved to use her computer for Facebook, games and Skype. Esther loved to visit family and was appreciative of the simple things in life.She leaves her beloved husband of fifty-four years, Thomas J. Tannian Jr, of Haverhill, two daughters, Linda J. Priebe and her husband, Edward, of Raymond, NH, and Audrey M. McGlew and her husband, Allen, of Groveland a son Thomas J. Tannian III, of NH, six cherished grandchildren, Alicia and Lyndze Priebe, Chad and Jonathan Tannian, and Kayla and Julia McGlew, two brothers, Philip Comeau and his wife Carlene, of Hampton, NH, and Albert Comeau, of Haverhill, a sister, Lorraine Rouse and her husband John, of Tacoma, WA, and several nieces and nephews. Her sister Louise Walsh and brothers, Paul and Edward Comeau, predeceased her.Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Sunday from 2 until 5 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill. Funeral services will begin on Monday morning at 10:00 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM in St. James Church, Winter St. Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Primrose St. Haverhill. Memorial donations may be made in her name to Massachusetts General Hospital.
