Gary Wightman

HAVERHILL – Gary A. Wightman, 56, of the Bradford section of Haverhill, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Oxford Nursing Home in Haverhill after a lengthy illness.Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late, Phillip A. Wightman Sr. and Maria T. (Camilo). He attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1977.He was employed in the Haverhill school system as a custodian at Haverhill High School, retiring in 2002. A sports enthusiast, he was a big fan of all Boston teams and played in local softball leagues for many years.Mr. Wightman is survived by his brother, Phillip A. Wightman, Jr. of Newmarket, N.H. five four nieces, Kristina Madera, Lisa D’Agostino, Rebecca Diaz, and Kendra Wightman, a nephew, Joshua Wightman, 10 grandnephews, and grandnieces, Jenica, Kaleb, Josiah, Kadence, Ashlynn, Kyleigh, Jackson, Haleena, Mailani and Daniel.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service on Tuesday, May 19, at 11 a.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday, May, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
