Haverhill – Janice E. (Thompson) Vadeboncoeur, 69, of Haverhill passed away on Sunday, November 3, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House with her family by her side. Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late, Hector C. and Elaine H. (Driscoll) Thompson. Raised in Haverhill, she attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School class of 1962. Mrs. Vadeboncoeur was employed at the former Western Electric in North Andover, and later worked as a crossing guard for the Haverhill school system for many years, retiring seven years ago. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, her family was her life and cherished time spent with her family and friends. She enjoyed bowling and playing BINGO.She leaves her beloved husband of fifty-two years, Harold J. Vadeboncoeur, a son, Harold J. “Joe” Vadeboncoeur, six daughters, Lisa Vedeboncoeur, of Haverhill, Corrine Vadeboncoeur, of Haverhill, Doreena Pellot, of Merrimack, NH, Kimberly Alper and her husband, Gary, of Haverhill, Karen Cain and her husband, Stephen, of Wilmington, and Amy Vadeboncoeur and her husband, Anthony Rodreguez, of Haverhill, two sisters, Doreena Smith and her husband, Wayne, of Haverhill, and Karen Watkins, of East Hampstead, NH, three brothers, Kevin Thompson, of Haverhill, David Thompson and his wife, Jeannie, of Bradford, and Mickey Thompson, also of Bradford, two grandchildren she raised as her own, Destiny Vadeboncoeur and Alexis Ledesma, best friends, Brenda Homan and Irving Gaudet, seventeen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, James Thompson. Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Tuesday from 4 until 7 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial is private.
