John “Jack” Kothman, Jr.

John “Jack” Kothman, Jr., of Haverhill, Massachusetts, passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 66, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on May 15, 1959, in Methuen, Massachusetts, Jack lived a life marked by dedication to service and deep connections with family and community.

Jack devoted his professional life to helping others as an EMT-I. His work reflected a steadfast commitment to the well-being of those in need and left a lasting impact on the lives he touched throughout his career.

He is lovingly remembered by his son, Sean Kothman and his wife Brittany; his daughter, Tiffany Riccio and her husband Fred; his former wife, Elena (Fassio) Kothman; and his cherished grandchildren: Freddie Riccio, Dante Riccio, Vincent Riccio, Salvatore Riccio, Addilynn Kothman, Mackenzie Kothman, and Logan Kothman. Jack also leaves behind his sisters Kim Merritt and her husband Walter, Cheryl Fanaras and her fiancé Mark Sydlowski; and Allison Boisclair and her husband Bob. His extended family includes nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart: Lauren Merritt, Meghan Merritt Schaffer, Alicia Fanaras, Mark Fanaras, Adam Fanaras, Robert Boisclair, Steven Boisclair. As well as Grand-Nieces and Nephews: Eliza Merritt Schaffer, Jack Merritt Schaffer, Billy Roman, Bobby Boisclair, Stella Boisclair and Olive Merritt-Hastings. Jack was predeceased by his beloved parents, John and Mary (Kearns) Kothman, his brother Michael, as well as his niece Danielle Boisclair.

His kindness and laughter touched not only his family but also his many treasured friends. The family would like to thank dear friends Tim and Dottie for their kindness to him in recent years. May the memory of John “Jack” Kothman, Jr. bring comfort to all who knew him.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, February 18th from 4PM until 7:00PM, followed by a funeral home chapel service at 7:00PM at the Kevin B.
