Haverhill – Kathryn Irene (Cragin) Chandler died peacefully in her sleep in Portsmouth, NH on Saturday, November 22, 2014. She was 98 years old.Born on August 20, 1916 in Claremont, NH, she was the only daughter of Frank and Irene (Kelly) Cragin. She attended High School in Claremont and later went on to nursing school in Lowell, Massachusetts. She then worked as a nurse at the Hale Hospital in Haverhill, there she met Leon (Chick) Chandler. They married on September 8, 1945, and together they lived on 14TH Avenue in Haverhill where they own and operated Chandler’s Auto School until the late 1980’s.She is survived by her two sons and their families: Dan and Patrice of Rochester, NH, and their two daughters, Kayle, and Kendra and Mike and Shelley of Telluride, CO and their daughter, Lindsay.Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Friday from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, (Rte. 125) Haverhill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, Lincoln Ave. Haverhill.
