Kathryn Ann (Bamforth) Crites, 75, of Haverhill, formerly of Newburyport, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009 at the Merrimack Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness.Born in Newburyport on Jan. 6, 1934, she was the daughter of the late, Ernest P. and Margaret A. (Carey) Bamforth. She was a graduate of both, Immaculate Conception Grammar and Immaculate Conception High School, Class of 1953. Faith and church were an important part of her life. She shared this passion as a CCD teacher while having been a parishioner of St. James Church.A homemaker, devoted mother and grandmother, she enjoyed nothing more than family time. She traveled often, always to visit her children, whether it be to California, or Florida, she was always ready for that next venture. She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Penacook Place where she lived and had many friends in that community.The former wife of the late, Albert E. Crites Sr, she leaves her loving children, John E. Crites and his companion, Cathy L. Conti, of Haverhill, Barry R. Crites and his companion, Peter R. Girouard, of New Port Richey, Fla. daughters and sons-in-law, Karen A. and Joseph M. Swan Sr., of New Port Richey, Fla., Maureen B. and Michael W. Cartier, of Atkinson, N.H. and was predeceased by her loving son, Albert J. Crites Jr. She will be missed by her cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth L. Garland and her companion Jeremais Marcano, Molly L. and Mackenzie A. Cartier, and Sarah E. Bishop.ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Thursday at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Route 125), Haverhill, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 14, with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Green Street, Newburyport.
