Haverhill – Laurie Ann Grassi, 55, passed away January 28th at Merrimack Valley Hospice surrounded by her loving family.Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of Gerard Grassi and the late Dorothy (Brizadi) Grassi. Raised and educated in Haverhill she was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1978. Laurie was employed as a chef for many years at various restaurants including Al’s Place, The 99 Restaurant and the Longhorn for the past several years. She loved all kinds of animals, especially her cats and dogs. She was a hard worker and in her spare time she loved to shop. Laurie and her daughter were inseparable and her most treasured moments were spending time shopping with her daughter and caring for her animals. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.Laurie leaves her daughter Kelly Marshall of Merrimac her boyfriend Michael P. Bakanosky her beloved cats, Tom, Bart and Boukie and her dog, Poodles.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, February 2nd from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B.
