Leo John Quigg, 58, of North Berwick, Maine, formerly of Haverhill, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010 at the York Hospital in York, Maine, after a courageous battle with cancer.Born in Milo, Maine, he was the son of the late, Joseph E. and Martha (Keegan) Quigg. As a child, his family relocated to Haverhill where he attended Haverhill public schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1970.Mr. Quigg was employed as a machinist. He began his career at Foss Manufacturing Company in Haverhill. He then went to work for Xaloy Inc. and, until recently, was employed by the Bruckner Supply Co. at Pratt & Whitney in North Berwick, Maine.Leo was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him he was a kind, thoughtful, gentleman. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Using his skills as a machinist, he would spend time as a crew member for a top fuel drag racing team.He is survived by his sister, Eleanor Howard a brother, Edward F. and his wife Marie (Gebala) Quigg, all of Haverhill his aunt, Agnes Breen of Cambridge nieces and nephews, Veronica Dansereau and her husband Laurence, and their daughter, Nicole, of Acton, Maine, Karen Daviduk of Hampstead, N.H., Renee Bellevance of North Hampton, N.H., Elizabeth Donlon of Grand Jct., Colo., Joseph Quigg of Federal Way, Wash., and Christina Smedile of Haverhill sister-in-law, Phyllis Quigg of Colorado and several great-nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Quigg.ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Route 125), Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
