Leonard Mailloux

Hampton, NH – Leonard R. Mailloux, 79, husband of Kathleen M. (Kelly), passed away December 3, 2016 at Merrimack Valley Hospice in Haverhill surrounded by his loving family.Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Leo A. and Blanche M. (Shaw) Mailloux. Raised and educated in Haverhill he was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School, Class of 1955. He served his country in the United States Army National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1964. Leonard began his career in motorcycles as the service manager at Goudreault’s Honda dealership in Haverhill until he purchased Depot Honda in 1979 in Hampton, NH. The business was then moved to Rye, NH in 1994. His passion for flying began at the Haverhill Airport, taught by Don Dutton. He obtained his pilot’s license and continued flying out of Hampton Airfield. He shared his love of flying with his family and friends. Leonard enjoyed spending winters for over 30 years in West Palm Beach Florida and made many trips to Disney World with his grandchildren. He passed on his love of camping to his family, making lasting memories at Apache Campground and Mi-Te-Jo Campground in the lakes region of New Hampshire. Leonard also enjoyed hunting and target shooting. You knew where to find him on summer nights riding up the coast into Portsmouth with his wife.Left to treasure his memory are his wife Kathleen of 58 years two children, Michael L. Mailloux and his wife Dorothy of Haverhill Cynthia M. Mailloux and Michael Giammarino of North Hampton, NH a brother, Richard Mailloux and his wife Paula of Salem, NH a sister, Janet Fitzgerald and her husband Gerry of Haverhill two grandchildren, Ashley Mailloux and Courtney LaCroix four great grandchildren, Trent Kinsvater, Bradley Daskey, Carolina Daskey and Jailynn Lacroix and several nieces and nephews.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Friday, December 9 at 11:00AM in Our Lady the Miraculous Medal Church, 289 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Arrangements under the direction of the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
