Lucinda Velozo

Lucinda Marie “Cindy” (Baker) Velozo, 45, of Methuen, formerly of Haverhill, died Tuesday, August 23, 2011.The daughter of Jack C. Baker and the late Marilyn L. (Hunt) Baker, she was raised and educated in Haverhill. She attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a Graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1984, and attended Northern Essex Community College.Ms. Velozo was employed as a cost accountant for the former AVCO and later Textron Defense Systems in Wilmington for over twenty-three years. She was a lover of animals and enjoyed music, dancing, and her daily walk.She leaves her two children, John J. “J.J.” Velozo, and Tiana M. “Tia” Velozo, former husband, Scott W. Velozo, all of Methuen, her father, Jack C. Baker, and brother, Raymond Baker, both of Fremont, NH, and her foster family, Barbara and William Debartolomeo, of Newton, NH, and Betty and Jimmy Bastarache, of Haverhill.Friends and family are respectfully invited to her memorial service on Saturday, August 27 at 11:00 AM in the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. A period of visitation will be held one hour prior beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to John J. and Tiana M. Velozo, c/o Touchstone FCU, 201 Lowell St. Wilmington, MA 01887.
