Mary M. (Burke) Manseau, 93, passed away on March 4, 2026, at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.
Born in Beverly on April 16,1932, Mary was the daughter of Clifton and Ann Burke and was raised in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA. She was a graduate of Story High School, after which she went on to study at Salem State University. She worked for many years as an accountant in the business office at Brooks School in N. Andover, MA, she also was the scheduler of the ice arena. Mary’s favorite 2nd jobs were working as a waitress and wedding planner at Pat’s Beef House in Haverhill, MA and the selling antiques at the Well-Kept Secret in Plaistow, NH.
Mary spent her free time as the treasurer for Haverhill Youth Hockey (70’s) and later the North Shore Raiders, a local All-star program that produced many NHL players. In retirement, Mary and her friends had a passion to search for antiques and rare finds across all of the North Shore’s thrift shops. She will fondly be remembered as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Mary is survived by her sons Joseph E. Manseau, Jr. and his wife Kelle of Plaistow, NH, and Clifton “Kip” Manseau and his wife Julie of Newburyport. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Brittany Gee and her husband David, Danielle Manseau, Zackary Creeden and his wife Lauren, and great grandchildren Isabella and Josie. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph E. Manseau, Sr., in 1989; and her brother John C. Burke in 2018.
