To my father, the best father ,grampy and friend that anyone could ever know. The world was a better place because of you. You taught me so much , you were so wise and so strong. Every part of me that is good is from you. We always knew we were loved, because you set that example. My favorite memories are you playing Santa Claus for the children. Making sure we had the best Christmases ever. Everyone that knew you were blessed to have known you. We know now that you’re in heaven and that the heavens were rejoicing to have you. The proof was in the weather that day. It started out with just light fluffy flurries. Then as you entered into heaven, the snow picked up rapidly and came down so beautifully. The heavens were rejoicing to have you and we were weeping that we were losing you. You were taken away too soon after knowing you had cancer for three weeks. I know and have peace that you are in heaven but there was no pain where is there is no emotional hurt. Niko and I were so blessed to have you in our lives and then our home for 20 years. I would have loved to take care of you for another 20 years. Niko and I will see you in heaven when we pass and we will be together again??

I never met Mr. Burrell but my deceased father sure did. The two of them were at Normandy together on LCT-703 on June 6, 1944. There is a special place in God’s house for the folks who were a part of The Greatest Generation that ever lived. May he rest in peace.

I like so many have never met Mr Burrell. However. My Daddy was on that same boat and I have enjoyed reading his memories by way of Mike Black who Grandfather was on LCT 703 THAT D DAY. May he rest in peace now with his crew.
    Sincerely
    MRS. ARDEN ANDRY CLOUD

I, too, never had the honor of meeting Mr. Burrell, but have a special place in my heart for him. He was with my Father on the LCT 703 on D Day. As I understand it, Mr. Burrell was the last of the crew to pass. May he rest in eternal peace. My condolences to the family.
