Francisca Antonia Almanzar-Delacruz, of Haverhill, entered into eternal life with her family at her side on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Holy Family Hospital. She was 69 years of age.
Francisca was born in Domenican Republic-Salzedo on January 18, 1953 and was the daughter of the late Amado and Maria (Dela Cruz) Almanzar.
Francisca was a very strong, caring person who was selfless and excelled at caring for others. She arrived in Massachusetts in 1980 to raise her children, and offer them a better life and opportunities. For over twenty years, she was a foster mother and helped many children in the foster system. She is known for being called mama by everyone she cared for. She was always willing to offer help to anyone who was in need. Francisca was very proud of her family and extended family, and she cherished the special moments she spent with them.
Francisca lived in Haverhill with her lifelong partner, Fernando Cruz. She’s a loving mother of Rafael DeLaCruz and his wife Carmen DeLaCruz, Elizabeth Ramos and her husband Santos Ramos-Algarin, Steve De La Cruz and his wife Alexandra De La Cruz, Leonarda Dela Cruz-Butler, her husband William Butler, and Audi De La Cruz and long term partner, Abby Pagan, and Jocab Sleigh.
She was the sister of Manuel Almanzar, Juan Almanzar, Bantolo Almanzar and Clara Almanzar, Bartola Almanzar,Mercedes Almanzar,Altagracia Almanzar, Ana Almanzar.
She was the cherished grandmother of Chazrik DeLaCruz, Carlos Cruz, Jr, Pedro Cruz, Janeida DeLaCruz, Idalis DeLaCruz, Korell DeLaCruz, Destiny Butler, Tiana Butler, Shaylanyce Vazquez, Zenaida DelaCruz, Anthony DeLaCruz, King DelaCruz, Noah DelaCruz, Steven Delacruz.
