Haverhill – Alan D. Trenholm, 63, passed away at his home in Haverhill on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.

Born in Saugus, he was the son of the late Bruce and Nancy P. (Barnes) Trenholm. Raised in Saugus, he attended Saugus schools and was a graduate of Saugus High School, Class of 1975. He lived in Saugus for over 50 years. Alan served his country with honor in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1982. He worked as a machinist in a local manufacturing company. He was a great outdoorsman and loved camping. Alan was a proud member of the 4000 Footer Appalachian Hiking Club, traversing many of the New England mountains and many others beyond. He was an avid Bruins fan and New England Patriots fan, rarely missing a game. Alan will be missed by his family and friends and all who knew and loved him.

Alan is survived by his brothers, Stephen B. Trenholm of Saugus; R. Michael Trenholm, Sr. and his wife Pamela of Hampstead, NH; his nephew and nieces and great nephews and great niece. He was predeceased by his brother Edward B. Trenholm.

    Please accept our sincerest condolences. We have many fond memories of Alan, Bruce, & of course, Khan!! When we walked around the “hills of Saugus” with the Marklands, we would always say “Hello” & many times Bruce would join us on the walks. Best Always, Ed & Jean Lyons
