Haverhill – Ann K. (Mears) Helps, 75, passed away March 2, 2020 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston with her loving family by her side.
A lifelong resident of Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Frederick W. and Mary (Shanahan) Mears. She was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1962. Growing up in Haverhill, she lived with her extended family in the neighborhood where her parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins lived and now where her children and nieces and nephews live. With family and friends, she spent many happy years at the family camp in Kingfield, Maine. Ann enjoyed traveling to Foxwoods and loved her scratch tickets. She enjoyed taking care of and walking her beloved dog “Wilson”. Ann loved boating with her longtime companion Tim Caradonna. A caring, selfless woman who was always taking care of everyone around her, she will be remembered for her great sense of humor, her witty comments and she was loved by everyone who knew her. A devoted mother and grandmother, she relished her time spent with her grandchildren and all her extended family. Ann will be sorely missed by all.
