Haverhill – Arthur J. “Artie” Hamilton, Jr., 56 passed away February20, 2023 at Kaplan House Danvers, Ma.
Born in Haverhill he was the son of Arthur J. Hamilton, Sr. and Kathleen H. (Chase) Hamilton of Haverhill. Artie was a “jack of all trades”. Some of the jobs he held were auto repair, dry wall, hot toping. He also worked at the Glynn Memorial with Alzheimer patients. Later in life he loved to restore knick knacks for friends Artie also enjoyed cooking and baking. He was famous for his meatballs and meatloaf, strawberry cake and breakfast breads. Artie also cooked holiday meals and delivered them to residents where he lived who did not have family. He collected Eagles and Indian Dream Catchers, loved playing KENO, and watching football and action movies. He loved his family immensely. A devoted father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. Artie the One Man Party will be missed by all who knew and loved him. “Hero’s get remembered but Legends never die”
Artie is survived by his son, Michael Hamilton and his partner Jasmine Ward of Brownfield, Maine, daughter Kayla Santos and her husband Melvin of Lawrence, MA, grandson’s Rowan Miles Hamilton, and Kalvin Santos, grandaughters Kasaiyah and Kaysha Santos, step-dad Norman C. Lowther of Haverhill, sisters Doreen Peluso and her husband Jim of Duncan, AZ; Cynthia Aragon and her husband Arthur of Murrieta, CA; Michelle Robinson and her partner Dave Cook of Ashland, KY; Donna Kee and her husband Stephen of Haverhill; and Kathleen S. Hamilton and her husband Timothy Carey of Exeter, NH, his ex-wife Kathy Nionakis of Brownfield, Maine, and several nieces and nephews. Artie is predeceased by his parents Arthur J. Hamilton, Sr., and Kathleen H. Hamilton, and brother Scott Scamporino.
