Charlotte J. (Ridlon) Blackey Batchelder, 87, widow of the late, Daniel Batchelder and Ernest Blackey, of Haverhill, died on Sunday, January 22 at the Bear Mountain nursing home in Andover.
Charlotte was born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late, Percy and Pearl (Jones) Ridlon. She attended Haverhill public schools and was a Graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1953. For several years she was employed in the leather industry working for Chaucer Leather in downtown Haverhill.
Charlotte was a true sun worshipper, she love the beaches and trips to the mountains and enjoyed attending fall fairs in New England. She also loved shopping and bargain hunting.
She is survived by her loving children; Judy Lajoie and her husband Daniel, of Laconia, NH, Darlene Paquette and her husband Darius, of Wolfeboro, NH, Dwayne Blackey, of Haverhill, Tina Muir and her husband, Todd, of Haverhill, and Daniel Batchelder, of Seneca, SC. She was the cherished grandmother of: Samantha Bereshney, Matthew Blackey, Todd, Justin and Ryan Muir, Daniel, Jillian, Katie, and Christopher LaJoie, Jonathan Paquette, Kathy Jerrett, Ireland, and Damien Batchelder, Brendon Manfraidie, Candice Clemmey and her husband Alan Clemmey, and Michael Blackey. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughters; Cynthia Blackey, and Susan DeRoche and sons; Stephen, David and Michael Blackey.
