HAVERHILL – Cheryl A. Poley, 55, of Haverhill passed away on Tuesday April 23 at her home.

Cheryl was born in Haverhill the daughter of James K. and Joan C. (Belanger) Poley. She was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1987 and then went on to study at UMass at Amherst and received a bachelor’s degree in hotel management a great cook and had a great sense of humor. Cheryl owned and operated Café Beignet at the Ward Hill Industrial Park for many years with her partner Dana Paquette. She enjoyed playing softball on Smitty’s Tavern Team, traveling, skiing, camping, and taking trips to Austria and St. Martin. Cheryl will be remembered fondly as a loving sister, daughter and aunt.

Cheryl is survived by her brother Shawn A. Poley and his wife Robyn of Rochester, NH, her sister Deborah A. DeBlois of Bluffton, SC and her sister in law Lynn Poley of Bridgeton, ME.  She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Nicole Semeraro, Jason DeBlois, Cheyenne Murray-Poley, Jami Poley, Angel Hyde, Tiffany Ghrist, and Amy Allard and 8 grand nieces and nephews. Cheryl was a devoted partner of 15 years to Dana Paquette who passed in 2020 and was predeceased by her brother Robert Poley.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, April 29 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.  Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, April 30 at 11:00AM in the funeral home chapel.
