Haverhill – Cynthia D. (Casgrain) Palmisano, 76, formerly of Beverly, passed away April 20, 2020 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Born in Melrose, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Lora (Coombs) Casgrain. She was raised and educated in Melrose and was a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1961. After graduation she attended Bay Path Junior College where she obtained her Associate’s degree. Cynthia worked as a secretary in Boston after Junior College before becoming a teacher’s aide. She worked for many years in the Peabody school system at the elementary level and before ending her career at the high school. Cynthia enjoyed walking, reading and artistic painting. She was a witty, sweet woman, very loving and caring for everyone she knew, including her beloved companion, her cat Rocky. Cynthia was devoted to her grandchildren, spending as much time as she could with them. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Cynthia is survived by her children, Justin Palmisano and his wife Gia of Haverhill; Dayna Palmisano of Sebastian, FL; her grandchildren, Jasmyne Palmisano, Delanna Palmisano, Austin Palmisano and Teagan Keefe; a sister, Gail Casgrain of Malden; and her former husband, Salvatore Palmisano.
Due to the current health emergency, services at this time are private. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
