Rowley – Daniel E. Lang, 70, passed away March 13, 2019 with his loving family by his side.
Born in Gloucester, he was the son of the late Eugene G. Lang and Mary E. (Fortado) Lang. Raised and educated in Gloucester, he was a graduate of Gloucester High School, Class of 1966. He attended Wentworth Institute, obtaining his Associates Degree in Construction Engineering. Daniel worked on many projects throughout the Boston, North Shore, Cape Ann and Merrimack Valley Area, including the Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill. He retired from the Gutierrez Company of Burlington. He grew up on Cape Ann and had a love for the coastal area, also spending time at the Plum Island Refuge in Newburyport. Daniel enjoyed carpentry and was a talented woodworker. He loved all the Boston sports teams and loved classic rock. Known for his quick wit, his kind and gentle spirit, he was well loved and easy going. Daniel loved his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Daniel is survived by his children, Nathan M. Lang and his wife Christina of Woodbury Heights, NJ; Torrie Nguyen and her husband Steve of Haverhill; his brothers, Paul Lang of Beverly and David Lang and his wife Maureen of Starkville, MS; his sister, Katherine Dunphy and her husband Edward of Gloucester; his former wife, Christine M. (Cooney) Lodge; his beloved grandchildren, Ashley, Madison, Taylor, Emily, Daniel and Cosette; and several nieces and nephews.
