Daniel Muldowney, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, at his residence at Hannah Duston Health Care Center in Haverhill.
Dan was born October 31, 1932 to Francis and Alice (Schriedor) Muldowney, and resided most of his life in Haverhill, MA. He did a tour of duty in the US Navy during the Korean War, and after that he was very active in veteran’s organizations like the Amvets and VFW. Dan was a big motivator on moving the Amvets to its current location on Primrose St. and then became a Commanding Officer and other various roles in the organization.
Dan went on to be an owner operator/truck driver for several years. He then managed a company’s maintenance division for years before returning to Haverhill to run a laundry business.
Dan is the last of his siblings and leaves behind sons, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren from both immediate and stepfamilies.
