HAVERHILL – David P. Safran, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 3 at his home.
David was born in Haverhill the son of Henry and Lena (Dodier) Safran. David spent many years working at Hoyt and Worthen Tanning Corporation as a truck driver until his retirement. He also traveled throughout New England with Fiesta Shows setting up Ferris Wheels, and enjoyed fishing, camping and creating his crafts. David will be remembered for his great sense of humor, loved spending time with his family and was a devoted father and grandfather who will be dearly missed…until we meet again.
David is survived by his daughter Robin Nelly and her husband Geoffrey of Summerville, SC, Jennifer J. Gagnon and her husband Justin of Peabody, Hollie M. Littlefield and her husband Richard of Haverhill; siblings Carol Melanfant of Fayetteville, NC, Alan Safran and his wife Laurie of Florida , Ruth Frascone of Haverhill and Steven Safran of Bradford. He is also survived by his grandchildren Bri Neily, Nick Neily, Jake Neily, Aaron Gagnon, Jessica Gagnon, Hallie Gagnon, Oriana Gagnon, Cody Littlefield, Richard Littlefield III, Jaiden Littlefield and Emily Littlefield, and great grandchildren Sofia Littlefield and Ariel Littlefield as well as several nieces and nephews. David is predeceased by his daughter Wendy L. Sturk and Tracy M. Safran and his siblings Kenneth Safran, Bernard Safran, Robert Safran, Brenda Safran and Louis Saffron.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, July 8 from 4PM until 7PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
