David R. DeVeau, Sr., 57 March 9, 1965 - January 12, 2023

HAVERHILL, MA – David Ross DeVeau, Sr., 57, died on January 12 in New Braunfels, TX peacefully at his home with his wife Sarah and sister Deborah by his side.

David was born on March 9, 1965 to Conrad C. and Catherine L. (Germinara) DeVeau in Haverhill, MA.  David graduated from Haverhill High School in 1983, going on to Norwich University and Dickerson School of Law at Penn State.  He worked in corporate law for Hutchins, Wheeler & Dittmar in Boston, MA. David was General Council at Kinder-Morgan, Inc. in Houston, TX until his retirement.  David was a devoted father, brother and uncle.  He enjoyed fishing, duck hunting and target shooting.  He also enjoyed driving his Porsche and Harley Davidson motorcycles, and had a love for rescue dogs and country music. David also traveled for missionary work to Costa Rica, Guatemala and Mexico for Woodlands Methodist Church in Texas.  His house had an open door policy with friends and family.  He was a very generous person and was very involved in St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

David is survived by his wife Sarah Coleman-DeVeau, son David Ross DeVeau, Jr, San Diego, CA, and daughter Madeline “Maddie” R. DeVeau, Dallas, TX, and sister Debroah F. DeVeau, Stratham, NH.

David was predeceased by son Luc W. DeVeau, and brother Stephen C. DeVeau.

ARRANGEMENTS:  A graveside service will be held at on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM, at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, N. Broadway, Haverhill, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Norwich University, Norwich University Office of Development, 158 Harmon Drive, Northfield, VT 0566.
