Eileen A. (Dennis) Murphy November 10, 1923 - August 30, 2019

Bradford – Eileen A. (Dennis) Murphy, 95, wife of the late Martin F. Leahy, passed away peacefully August 30, 2019 at home with her loving daughter Martine F. Leahy by her side.

Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Daly) Dennis. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she attended Haverhill schools. Eileen was also a graduate of LaBaron’s Hair Academy in Haverhill and was a licensed cosmetologist. She was a Nurse’s Aide at various nursing homes in the Merrimack Valley area and retired from the Glynn Memorial Nursing Home. She worked for the Federal Credit in Haverhill for many years. With her daughter Martine, Eileen loved traveling to the beach, Hampton Beach where she spent two weeks every summer for the past 15 years, Sandy Point at Plum Island, enjoyed rides down the coast and Lake Winnipesauke in New Hampshire. She enjoyed fried clams and Chinese food and was inseparable with her daughter Martine, with whom she lived for many years. A devoted mother, who adored all her children and grandchildren, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Eileen is survived by her children, Martine F. Leahy of Bradford; Heidi A. Crossman of Methuen and Martin R. Leahy of Haverhill; two grandchildren, Matthew and April Chute; her brothers, Frank Dennis of Haverhill; Melvin Dennis and his wife Donna of Bernardston; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Robert Lee, Richard Dennis, Raymond Dennis, Arthur Dennis and Nancy Acheson.
