Eliette Soucy Willett, born Eliette Lorraine Soucy, passed peacefully on February 20, 2023 at the age of 98. Ellie was a long time resident of Haverhill, MA and was a beloved and devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend who will be dearly missed.

Ellie is survived by three daughters and two sons, Susan Gemos and her partner Edward Colozzi of Lowell; Leslie Stott and her husband Michael of Johnson City, TN; Eliette Lee Reid and her husband George of Newfoundland, CA and Leesburg, FL; James Willett Jr and his partner Karen Stitham of Englewood FL; Daniel Willett and his wife Yvonne of Newton, NH.

Ellie is also survived by ten grandchildren, Heather Lanier; Derrick Gemos and his wife Jennifer; Michael Kelly and his wife Michelle; Heath Kelly and his wife Heather; Brett Kelly and his wife Sabrina; Jeff Stott; Chris Stott; Garner Davis and his wife Stacey; Briana Davis and her partner Mike Nielsen; Adam Willett and his wife Erin; sixteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephew.

Ellie was born in Haverhill, MA on November 24, 1924 the daughter of Laurette Roy Soucy George and Joseph Soucy. Ellie was preceded in death by her husband James L Willett Sr., her daughter Jane L Davis, and her two sisters Lena Soucy Long and Norma Soucy Cote. She had a large family of brother in laws and sister in laws all of whom preceded her in death and made life full and happy.

Ellie was a busy mom of six children and also did seamstress work from home. She loved knitting and taking care of her two favorite Aunts. When the children were older, Ellie, worked for the IRS, and did bookwork. Ellie loved to cook, sing and would speak French with anyone who could. She had a positive caring attitude and marvelous sense of humor, and never forgot a birthday or anniversary for any of her children or grandchildren. She and Jim had many loving friends with whom they traveled, camped and danced with for years. Ellie will be laid to rest alongside her husband Jim.

Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street Haverhill, MA. Visitation will be Thursday February 23 from 4-6 PM.  A  Funeral Mass will be held February 24 at All Saints Church Haverhill, MA 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The CancercCenter at Lowell General Hospital, 295 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854.
