Atkinson, NH – Ernest T. Fusi, 91, husband of Mary Jane (Grady) Fusi, passed away peacefully January 12, 2019.
Born in Jackson Heights, NY, he was the son of the late Ernest and Anna (Mazzoni) Fusi.
Ernest was a World War II veteran serving with the Naval Underwater Demolition Team stationed in the Pacific, seeing battle in both Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
He graduated from Brooklyn Poly-Tech with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was employed for 35 years by AT&T/Western Electric and was a member of the Engineering Excellence Society.
Ernest was extremely creative, with the abilities to fix just about everything. He was a life-long learner and his many hobbies included woodworking, photography, astronomy and playing chess. An avid traveler, with his wife, he toured the United States and Europe, also enjoying many cruises. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Thomas Fusi of Rockville, MD; Virginia Fusi McKeon and her husband Daniel of Bayside, NY; Mary Ann Fusi O’Brien and her husband Joseph of Lexington, MA; two grandchildren Andrew and Michael Fusi; brother in law John Grady and his wife Noreen of Haverhill, MA, sister in law Margaret Guy of Portsmouth, NH and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Butti and Norma Driggers.
