Plaistow, NH – Francis B. Royea, 91, passed away February 13, 2022 at Avita Healthcare in Newburyport.
Born in Quebec, Canada, he was the son of the late Napoleon and Florence (Desmaris) Royea. He was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School, Class of 1950. Francis worked in the Haverhill area at Haverhill Hardware Store, Tek Coating and Fortin Supply. Known as a jack of all trades, he was happiest tinkering on many projects. He liked everyone he met and made friends easily. Francis was a member of the Crescent Yacht Club in Haverhill. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving him are his wife, Patricia (Smith) Royea of Haverhill; his children Linda Wheeler of Bradford, Judith Royea of Haverhill, and Michael Royea and his wife Cindy of Belmont, NH; his special friend Murial Gordon and her family; grandchildren, Jennifer Drelick and her husband Philip, Charles Wheeler, Stephanie Whitaker and her husband Chris, Andrew Royea and his wife Krista, Mark Royea and Jaclyn Griffin; 6 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son David Royea siblings, Victor and Joseph Royea, Daisy Sharples and Ruth French.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, February 19 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to MSPCA, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
