GROVELAND – Glen G. Hamilton, 66, of Groveland passed away peacefully at his home after a lengthy illness.
Glen was born in Haverhill. He was the son of Gordon H. and Ethel L. (Weeks) Hamilton. He was a graduate of Haverhill High School – Class of 1976 and worked many years as a sales associate at Esty Lumber in Groveland. Glen grew up on Whittier Road in Haverhill and was on the board of trustees for the John Greenleaf Whittier Birthplace for many years. Glen enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He spent several years as a caretaker for his best friend David Thompson of Groveland. He was a father, son, brother, grandfather and friend to all.
Glen is survived by his mother Ethel L. Hamilton, his wife Marie C. (Ferreira) Hamilton, his daughter Ashley E. Hamilton and her fiancé Jason Bertholdt of Amesbury, MA, his son Seth G. Hamilton and wife Colleen Hamilton of Portsmouth, NH, stepson Joshua J. Gilb and fiancé Ashley Winseck of Pittsfield, MA and stepdaughter Jamie B. Gilb and partner Dwayne Holyoke of Bradford, MA. He also leaves behind his sister, Diane Hamilton-Collins and her husband Charles Collins of Haverhill, MA and several nieces, nephews and his grandchildren- Delaney and Ryder Hamilton, Beatrix, Eloise and Annabel Gilb and Victoria Bertholdt.
ARRANGEMENTS: Services are private. Arrangements are under the care of Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill, MA.
