Helen (Costas) Doucette November 23, 1935 - August 13, 2020

Haverhill – Helen (Costas) Doucette, 84, wife of the late Ralph Doucette, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Elias and Mary (Moran) Costas. Raised in Haverhill, she attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1955. Helen was employed as a technician for over 25 years at Raytheon, until her retirement. She was known for her baking, enjoyed gardening, bingo, journaling and was an avid reader. With her sisters, Helen traveled to the village her family came from in Greece, It was a trip of a lifetime and talked of it often. She was a woman of strong faith and attended St. James Church in Haverhill for many years. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, her family was everything to her and loved them deeply. Helen will be missed by her family and friends and all who knew and loved her.

Helen is survived by her children, Ralph G. Doucette of Haverhill; Scott B. Doucette of Haverhill; Pamela J. DiBurro and husband Michael of Waterford, ME; Maureen A. Castro and husband Roger of Methuen; sisters Ann Doucette of Hampton, NH and Eva Bouchicas of North Conway; nine grandchildren, Adam Foster, Chris Doucette, Joanna Doucette, Mary Olsen, Anthony Somma, AnneMarie DiBurro, Joshua Somma, Michael DiBurro and Nicole Somma; four great grandchildren, Joel Foster, Cailin Foster, Faith Doucette and Daniel Olsen; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Ralph she was predeceased by her sisters Mary Duquette and Rosie Bombard and daughter in law Lisa Doucette.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, August 19 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Thursday morning at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hilldale Avenue, Haverhill.
