Ian J. Kessel, 26 October 18, 1996 - March 8, 2023

Haverhill – Ian Joseph Kessel, 26 passed away on March 08, 2023.

Born in Methuen, MA he was the son of the late Michael W. Kessel and Cheryl M.  Menzies, of Naples FL.  He was also the brother to Michaela Kessel of Bradford, MA and Mariah Kessel of Salem, NH. Ian was a standout athlete, known for his speed and agility on both the football field and basketball court. He continued to play basketball in local leagues and recently joined a semi pro football team in Worcester, MA, hoping to play football again in the Fall. Ian recently opened up a gaming and recording studio in North Andover, MA where he was working hard towards making the business a success. Ian loved to travel and had recently spent 4 months in Naples with his girlfriend, Vanessa, where he enjoyed spending time at the dog beach with their puppy Isa.  During the past few years Ian spent much of him time traveling with Vanessa. He spent time in California, different parts of FL and his favorite place, Las Vegas, where he loved to play poker, walk the strip and see live shows. Ian also enjoyed going for long nature walks with Vanessa and Isa. In addition, he enjoyed attending Red Sox and Celtics games at any chance he could get.

Ian was a caring and compassionate individual who held a deep and strong love for his parents, sisters and grandmother, Valerie Menzies, whom he shared a very special and strong bond with through his entire life. Ian deeply loved and was loved by his girlfriend, Vanessa Veloz, whom he was expecting a baby daughter with in April. He also loved his four year old daughter Kailani.  In addition to his Mother, Grandmother, sisters and daughter he leaves behind extended family in Germany and in the local area.

ARRANGEMENTS:  Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, March 12 from 2PM until 5PM.  Funeral mass on Monday, March 13 at 1:30PM  at All Saints Parish, Haverhill, MA.  Arrangements are in the care of  Kevin B.
