HAVERHILL – James Douglas Fairbanks, 48, of Haverhill passed away on Friday, December 1 at his home in Haverhill.
James was born in Haverhill on July 25, 1975 to Douglas R. Fairbanks and Barbara P. (McCoy) Gargano. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School, Class of 1993 and then went on to study Graphic Design at Northern Essex Community College. James worked most recently for several years as the foreman of the property maintenance crew for S & H Landscaping. He loved, paintball, camping, exploring and photography, and canoeing on the Saco River. James was also a gifted artist, most talented at drawing. He had a great sense of humor and loved people, especially his family and friends.
James is survived by his father Douglas R. Fairbanks, and step mother Cheryl Ann (Leck) Fairbanks, of Haverhill, and his grandmother Marjorie Fairbanks, of Groveland; his sister Melissa A. Davies, of Haverhill; his brothers Michael A. Drapeau, Ryan W. and Melissa Fairbanks, of Haverhill, Evan T. and Emily Fairbanks, of Atkinson, NH, Reid D. Fairbanks, of Haverhill. He also leaves behind nephews Callum, Harris, and Wallace Fairbanks, as well as several uncles, aunts, and cousins. James was predeceased by his mother Barbara P. (McCoy) Gargano.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, December 10 from 1PM until 2:30PM, after which family and friends are invited to share how much Jim meant to them and to each of us at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main Street, Haverhill. All are invited afterwards for lunch and refreshments to the American Legion Carl Davis Post #34 (AmVets), 175 Main Street, Plaistow, NH.
