HAVERHILL – James M. Doucette, 57, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, December 15 at the High Point Hospice House in Haverhill.
James was born in Haverhill on September 20, 1966 to Robert B. Doucette and Caroline D. (Ball) Chaplick. He was educated in Haverhill schools and graduated from Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School, Class of 1984. James worked for many years as a laborer and carpenter in the construction industry. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and water skiing, and was known for being a great cook. James will be remembered as a kind, giving person with a good heart and a loving son and brother.
James is survived by his mother Caroline D. (Ball) Chaplick and step-father Stephen Chaplick, brother Kevin Lee Doucette, of Exeter, NH, step-brother Jason Cook, of Haverhill, sisters Jennifer Doucette, of Bradford, Carol Jean Doucette, of Farmington, Sherrie Lynn Doucette, of Farmington, Diane Doucette, of Haverhill. He also leaves behind nephews and nieces Brian Doucette, Samantha Doucette-King, Myah Scanlon-Doucette, and Niko Doucette. He was predeceased by his father Robert B. Doucette, ex-wife Jennifer Doucette, of Ossipee, NH, and a sister-in-law Kimberly Doucette of Exeter, NH.
