HAVERHILL– JoAnne L. (Calvi) McPhee, 88, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26 at her home.
Born in Haverhill, JoAnne was the daughter of Henry and Evelyn (Sullivan) Calvi. She was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1954 and then went on to take travel agent classes Northern Essex Community College. JoAnne worked for many years as a tester for Lucent Technologies and also The Store in Haverhill. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Haverhill Elks. JoAnne lived in Florida from 2000 until 2017 then moved back to Haverhill living at Hannah Duston Nursing Home until 2023, and finally at Merrivista Assisted Living. JoAnne had a great sense of humor and like to spend time traveling, dancing and roller skating.
JoAnne is survived by her son Richard A. McPhee and his wife Debra of Bradford, her sister Judith Trecartin of Wells, ME, and her daughter-in-law Roxanne McPhee of Florida. She also leaves behind grandchildren Heidi McPhee, Jacklyn McPhee, Jennifer Sheehan, Patricia Godwin and Gina Schiavoni and great grandchildren Preston, McKenzie, Elijah and Ethan. JoAnne is predeceased by her husband Richard A. McPhee and her son Kevin C. McPhee.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, November 3 from 2PM until 5PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 4 at 10AM at Sacred Hearts Parish, 165 S. Main Street, Haverhill. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
