Haverhill – Joanne M. (O’Brien) Archambault, 87, wife of the late Arthur A. Archambault, passed away January 13, 2022 at Lawrence General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Mary E. (Herring) O’Brien. Raised in Haverhill, she attended Sacred Hearts School and was a graduate of St. James High School, Class of 1951.  Joanne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be remembered for her loving and competitive spirit. She raised six children, thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  She was known as Gram, Grammie Darling, Gigi and Mom to so many.  Joanne will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  Joanne was employed for thirty six years for Dr. Edward Khantzian as an administrator in his office and retired at 85 years old. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was the epitome of class. She also loved bowling, playing cards, dancing and being with her family and friends.  Joanne never missed her children or grandchildren’s sporting events, dance recitals, or plays.  She loved following her Boston sports teams and also enjoyed watching any gray horse in Saratoga every summer.  Joanne did a lot of traveling to many places including Las Vegas, the Caribbean, Italy and Poland. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family by a lake, ocean or pool.

Joanne is survived by her children, Michael J. Archambault and his wife Catherine of Methuen; Mark S. Archambault and his wife Gail of Belmont, NH; Jean M. Hutchinson and her husband Michael of Haverhill; Daniel A. Archambault and his wife Susan of Andover; grandchildren, Jade and Tom Kucharski, Nicole Dallon and Chris Barry, Sean Archambault, Angela Dalton, Christopher Archambault and Colette Cacciatore, Kelsea Archambault, Jacqueline and Chris Sciuto, Cameron Hutchinson, Kerri and Kyle Quigley, Tim Dodier, Patrick Archambault, Kalli Archambault and Braeden Archambault; great grandchildren, Britton Kucharski, Morgan Kucharski, Kye Dalton, Trae Dalton, Marlee Quigley and Dominic Sciuto; sister-in-law Linda O’Brien and brother-in-law Kevin Buckley.  Joanne is pre-  deceased by her son Thomas A. Archambault and daughter Jolene M.Dodier; late sisters Arlene Lavallee, Patricia Buckley, brother William O’Brien (Uncle Bill) and daughter in law Jean Archambault.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, January 17 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday morning at 9:30AM in the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30AM at All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill.
