Jody S. Safford August 29, 1963 - May 18, 2021

Haverhill – Jody A. Safford, 57, husband of Susan E. (Belmont) Safford, passed away suddenly on May 18, 2021.

Born in Biddeford, ME he was the son of the late Benjamin and Rose (Geller) Safford. He attended Canton Vocational School and Blue Hills High School. Jody served his country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. He was the President of ESP Data Solutions, Inc. in Haverhill along with his Partners Greg Trzaska , Vice President and Piotr Kalamajski which was incorporated in 1996.  ESP Data Solutions, Inc. is a Software VinDecoding company.  Jody was an avid golfer for many years and was passionate about the game.  Jody was a member of the Campbell’s Scottish Highlands Golf Course.  He loved playing with his golf buddies.  He especially loved playing golf with his Best Friend Chuck and his boys!  He loved the competition.  If he wasn’t playing he was watching tournaments on television. Another passion was his beautiful yard. He loved yardwork and was a perfectionist in his landscaping. With his children, he cruised to Florida in his RV and enjoyed spending time with his children, always there to help. He loved going on “adventures” with his wife Susan, always creating special times of laughter and fun. Jody will be sorely missed by all his family and friends.

In addition to his loving wife Susan, Jody is survived by his children, Lauren Safford Sandy ,UT; Christian Safford of Phoenix, AZ; Stephanie Safford of Plymouth, MA and Melissa A. Twombly and her partner Haven Newsome of Haverhill; and four grandchildren, Lucas, Tyler, Nevaeh and Shalayah.; his sister Fern Safford Tetu and her partner Gary, Nephew Ted all of Scottsdale, AZ; brother Steven Safford of Scottsdale AZ; his siblings, Mark Matthews, Richard Matthews, Jacquelene Thomas, Gayle Lovejoy, Carol Ann Lovejoy-Jessup and Joseph Hall; his birth mother, Donna Hall; and  Jody also leaves many sister-in-laws.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, May 26 from 10:00AM until 12 Noon at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
