September 18, 2023 at 3:41 pmI enjoyed getting to know Joan and John through the husky club events and meeting at the Weymouth dog park/Southfield/Union Point (old navel base) events. My fondish memory is when his dog Teddy was a devil and mine an angel at a Halloween dog costume contest.

September 21, 2023 at 7:15 pmI had the good fortune to meet John many decades ago through our respective interests and efforts in mosquito management. I thoroughly valued and enjoyed our discussions of that topic, but even more so when conversation inevitably meandered to his love and activities with his dogs. It was clear that the dogs appreciated John every bit as much. I’ve benefited from John’s experience, wisdom, practicality, and good nature. He will be missed, but never forgotten.
