John Francis Paquette, 86 July 28, 1937 - March 18, 2024

HAVERHILL – John Francis Paquette, 86, of Haverhill passed away on Monday, March 18 in Marlborough with his family by his side.

John was born in Haverhill to Emile and Catherine (Butler) Paquette and was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School, Class of 1956 where he studied the printing trade.  A local member for many years with the Iron Workers Association brought him many friends as he shared his trade experience with them.  

John is survived by his children Vickie Lynn Paquette of Marlborough,  Jonathan P. Paquette and his wife Becky of NH, Kenneth A. Paquette of Providence, RI, his step children Liane and her husband Mike Ouimette of NH and Mike Sargent and his wife Lisa of FL, his brother Edward Paquette and his wife Patricia of Bradford, MA, sisters Marie Paquette of Beverly, Susan Pascucci of Bradford, and Roseanne Paquette. He also leaves behind his grandson, Emilio Giambarella and his step grandchildren Katrina Wilson, Taylor Ouimette,  and one great grandchild Leanne Ouimette.  He was predeceased by his former wife Patricia (Lee), mother of his three children, Elizabeth “Betty” (Morris) Paquette, brothers Daniel, Joseph and Christopher Paquette and  his sister Christina Paquette. 

Known for his great sense of wit and humor which everyone enjoyed, John was an avid golfer and history buff and could match anyone in a conversation with facts and dates.   He had an incredible gift whereas he could envision, plan and build tree houses with decks, swimming pools and teepees for children to play in and many other projects with barely a blueprint.  He was an extremely selfless man who would always prioritize the well being of others before thinking of his own.   John enjoyed family gatherings and was a joy to be around listening to his latest limerick he had just written.  Hobbies included, golfing, and dabbling in driftwood sculptures for family and friends as well as being a crossword aficionado.  

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, March 22 from 10AM until 12PM followed by a funeral home chapel service at 12PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Please visit Comeau
