Hampstead, NH – Jonathan Richard Jenne, age 35, passed away unexpectedly on January 4th, 2022 in Hampstead, NH.
Jonathan was born on June 25th, 1986 in Haverhill, MA to his beloved parents Eileen C. Roche and Alan L. Jenne. Raised in Hampstead, NH, he is a graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH,
Class of 2004. Jonathan pursued his deep love for special education, receiving a B.A. from Merrimack College in Andover, MA, followed by a Master of Education from American International College in Springfield, MA, graduating with recognition as a Presidential Scholar.
Throughout his too short career, Jonathan adored his work with special education students in Haverhill, MA at the St. James TEACH program before moving on as a special education teacher at Schools for Exceptional Studies in Lawrence, MA for several years. His most recent position is one in which he found a renewed sense of passion and took great pride, as he resumed his role as an educator at Danville Elementary School in Danville, NH.
Jonathan is survived by his parents Eileen C. Roche of Hampstead and Alan L. Jenne of Haverhill; his grandmother Muriel Jenne of Haverhill; his sister Christina Wells and her husband Marcus; his beloved niece, Lyrah and nephew Kellan of Hampstead; uncles and aunts Robert Roche of Haverhill; Jack and Raelene Jenne of Murell’s Inlet, S.C; Paul Jenne and Penny Sommer of Wolfeboro, NH; Joel Jenne and Nancy Michelson of Berlin, MD; and Jennifer Selfridge of Wolfeboro He also leaves behind many dear cousins, friends, and colleagues. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and Robert Roche, and Aldred A. Jenne Jr.; and uncles and aunts, Jack and Donna Walsh, and Mary Roche.
Jonathan was loved by many and was truly a kind and compassionate soul. He was an educator at heart, always ready to help and listen. He was his happiest when he was teaching or playing with his niece, Lyrah. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, January 7 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A funeral service will be on Saturday, January 8 at 10:00AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Primrose St., Haverhill.
